The Tobacco Farm Life Museum is happy to present an exhibit by Jean Pope entitled:
“Accents from the Farm”

Exhibit Dates May – July 2006

Jean Pope grew up on a tobacco farm in Eastern NC. There she learned many valuable lessons that have aided her through her life and have influenced her artwork. The cornerstone of which is the resourcefulness of the farmer and the farm family.

This exhibit speaks to that “farmer ingenuity”, and to those who learned the lessons of the farm by living them. Every day we see that discarded or forgotten items can be restored as things of beauty. Those things become precious reminders of our hard-working heritage.

Join us as our rural culture is celebrated with “Accents from the Farm”. Share Jean’s expressions through artwork, photographs, fabric, and organic elements...a blending of old and new in innovative ways.
